Happy Thanksgiving!
I’m glad there’s a day when we stop, reflect on our lives and are thankful for the people, things and experiences in it. 2009 was a bad year for a lot of people, but I hope there was one shining moment in it that stands out for you as you get ready to sit down to a meal with family and/or friends. For me, there are too many to count. And I’m thankful for that.
Here’s a little Thanksgiving fun for you and if you keep reading, a contest that’ll give two lucky winners even more to be thankful for.
So my contest…
Obviously, the turkeys above really love their pie. Sometime between now and December 1st, 11:59 pm EST, tell me what your favorite holiday dessert is. I’ll pick two winners at random to win a free copy of any single title from my backlist. Winners will be announced on the blog December 2nd.

My favorite holiday dessert is Candy Cane pie from Bakers Square.
Pumpkin pie is a tradition, can’t have Thanksgiving without it!, so I don’t count that. Ambrosia is second in line as a favorite.
My favorite holiday pie is my grandmother’s chocolate pecan pie. The chocolate and the pecans are everywhere, not just on top like in the few commercially prepared ones you might find.
Ambrosia is one that I always enjoy. My daddy makes it for us. I also like carrot cake and coconut cake.
My favorite pie is chocolate with lots of cool whip.
I love all kinds of desserts so it is kind of hard to pick one but I would choose apple pie with a scoop of ice cream – apple pie a la mode, if you want a fancy name!:o) Chocolate cake comes a close second.
Hi Dee, my favorite dessert is my sister’s homemade pecan bars. Sinfully rich, I always take home a stash to enjoy with my morning coffee throughout the Thanksgiving weekend.
Happy Thanksgiving!
My favorite desert is my Mum Sadie’s made from scratch pumpkin pie (including boiling pumpkin for the filling). I still can’t do her recipe right 8D
Mindy 🙂
Mine is cream cheese with blue berries in a pie dish or cheam cheese with pumpkin
in a pie dish.
My favorite desert is Flan (cheese).
My favorite holiday dessert is what we call Russian Taffy. It’s not taffy but more like a cross between fudge and pralines. Family recipe too so if no one makes it, then I do and I eat the whole thing LMAO
Banana pudding – not exactly conventional, I know, but my hubby loves it. Instead of grooms cake for our wedding reception, he asked for a big bowl of banana pudding. Needless to say, the caterer got a kick out of it!
For Thanksgiving this year, it’s pumpkin cheesecake lightly drizzled with chocolate sauce.
But, really? It’s any dessert I don’t have to make.
Now Christmas is a whole different story…
