Time to start girding your loins. That time of year has come again.
National Novel Writing Month
Good Lord even I don’t feel like back-tracking through my posts to find the one that shares my writing story with you. Here’s a different twist on it here. (Long story short, two years ago for NaNo, I started to write. Really started to write.)
Can you do it? Write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days? Start November 1 and don’t stop until you hit 50K or November 30th. Whichever comes first.
The thing of it is, that’s not even the point. The point is to start something this monumental and actually, yanno, finish it. I contracted a 22,000 word story right as NaNo started last year and it distracted me from hitting 50K, but I can still consider it a win. I wrote a story that month. Finished it. (Sold that puppy, too.)
As November approaches, I’ll bring you more updates on what I have planned. During the month of November, I’ll let you know how I’m doing. Y’all cheer me on, k?
My NaNo profile is here.
