The Dangerous Hero

L. Shannon sparked the idea for today’s post when she and I were discussing her blogging habits. (*ahem* Shannon!) She once wrote about attraction to sociopaths and the conversation actually went along with something I’d already been plotting for the final book in THE CRAFT OF THE WISE series.

In DRAWING DOWN THE MOON, my hero will be demon-touched — cursed by unpredictable and uncontrollable demonic urges. I’m toying with the idea of having him have one of those urges with the heroine in the first chapter of the book, pinning her in place beneath him as he battles for self-control. And her liking it.

For some people, they might find that a bit on the creepy side. Hell, even I’m not certain how I’ll pull it off. Or if I can. I just like the idea of this instant attraction between the two. It’s not my usual M.O. for stories, but I can already tell that these two are just drawn to each other. He’s the tortured dangerous type and she’s a healer. Complete opposites yet the same lonely souls.

As my hubby has observed, I’m insanely attracted to big, bad, bald, MoFos (him included). What about you? Does the dangerous hero spark a little bit of interest for you?
